Our work in Latin America
Advancing deforestation-free production and trade
In Latin America, our aim is to eliminate deforestation and land use change by addressing its primary drivers; cattle, soy and farmland markets. Our solutions involve deforestation research and analysis, engagement of stakeholders, and access to on-the-ground intelligence to improve transparency and sustainability practices in commodity sectors. Our reporting prompted the largest companies in the sector to engage their suppliers on deforestation cases, including ADM, Bunge, Cargill, and Carrefour; and informed advocacy and legal action that help create enabling environments for corporate accountability.
