Annemieke Beekmans Steps Down as AidEnvironment’s Executive Director
After 14 remarkable years at AidEnvironment, including 8 years as the Executive Director, Annemieke Beekmans has decided to embark on a new chapter in her professional life and will be stepping down from her role at the organisation.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude to Annemieke for her invaluable contributions and unwavering commitment to AidEnvironment’s mission. Throughout her tenure, she has played an important role in driving the organisation’s growth and leading it towards becoming more internationally oriented, broadening its reach to countries around the world, and cultivating a diverse and talented team.
During this transition period, we are pleased to announce that Joana Faggin, Senior Researcher, will be assuming the role of interim Director. Joana’s expertise and passion for AidEnvironment’s mission make her well-suited to guide the organisation during this interim phase.
Furthermore, the Supervisory Board will be initiating the search for a new executive director who will lead AidEnvironment into the future. We are confident that with our collective talent and a rigorous selection process, we will find an exceptional leader who will continue to advance our mission and drive positive change.
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all our stakeholders for their continuous support and collaboration throughout the years.
During the upcoming month, Annemieke will be working closely with Joana and the rest of the team to ensure a smooth transition. Should you have any questions or require further information during this time, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at info@aidenvironment.org.
