AidEnvironment Welcomes New Supervisory Board Member
Article drafted by Ana Natividad
After 4 years as part of the Supervisory Board, Myrthe Haase will conclude her time at AidEnvironment and Tessa Maksimovic will assume the role she vacates. We thank Myrthe for the contributions she has made to the organization since joining the Board in 2019. Her insights have allowed us to grow as an organization. Myrthe especially advised on how to professionalize our HR strategy and tools, ensuring the diversity of talents in the organization and enabling team members to develop their skills and work towards the impact we aspire for.
We are thrilled to have Tessa join the Supervisory Board. With over 15 years of experience in the international banking environment, Tessa worked as a lawyer and non-financial risk officer for ING’s Commercial Bank before joining the Environmental and Social Risk department in 2013. In her current role, she evaluates and advises on climate, human rights, environmental and social risks, and impacts in relation to clients and financial engagements in the Americas and Asia Pacific region. She has extensive knowledge of the environmental and social challenges in industries such as energy, mining, infrastructure and agri-commodities. Her other expertise focuses on policy development and sustainability strategy setting. Tessa has undertaken several site visits to South America and Asia to verify the application of international standards, such as those of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and World Bank in relation to financed projects.
We take pride in the experience and expertise that members of the Board, past and present, bring to the table, and are hopeful for the continued success of the organization under the leadership of the Board with its newest member.
